Covid Update – July 2023

We do not require people to wear masks in church but if you want to wear a mask then that is completely fine.

We would ask that you avoid services at church for 5 days after a positive test or if you have symptoms.

We have been singing our hymns and praises out loud for some time now but we recognise that some are still needing to avoid the risk of covid infection. Its a big church and no one will think you odd if you keep away from others.

They used say when we left the doors open, “Isn’t this church draughty!”  Now we say, “Aren’t we lucky our church is so well ventilated!”

At communion services the wafers are dipped into the wine and then handed out by the minister. This avoids sharing the communion cup.

Remember it is all in the cause of keeping each other safe.

We will come through this to easier times. Have faith!

Numbers at funerals, weddings and christenings are currently only limited by our seating capacity.
