We aim to provide a warm, comfortable environment for worship and special events, however, the Church has expenses of about £1500 per week. That’s about £21 per week for every single person of our average weekly attendance. Costs include an annual payment to the Diocese for clergy and other central costs, plus running costs like electricity, insurance and general maintenance, including the maintenance of the church yard.
We depend on the generosity of our regular congregation plus donations from visitors. Many give on a weekly basis through our Stewardship Scheme where donations are put into envelopes and given at our services. If you would like to know more about this, please contact our Stewardship Secretary. There are also envelopes in church for your gifts. All donations can be ‘Gift Aided’ by tax payers, which gives us an extra 25p in the pound at no extra cost to you!
